LimbokDesign was created in 1998 as a freelance graphic design business. We are located just outside of Orlando, Florida where we never have to shovel snow.

The name Limbok is pronounced lime, like the citrus fruit and bok, like the great composer. It is the pronunciation of my last name Leimbach, which you would never pronounce right if I didn't spell it out for you.

Now that we have that out of the way, let's move on. LimbokDesign has worked for a wide range of clients with diverse promotional needs. Let me take you back a bit. I went to community college for pre-architecture and soon realized that I needed more variety and color. So, I enrolled at The Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale and earned a degree in Visual Communications in 1986.

I went to work right away as a technical illustrator doing work for several military contractors. One of them was Alden Design. While working at Alden Design in West Palm Beach, Florida, I was introduced to a business slide-creating computer called Genegraphics. This exposed me to many of the larger corporations that I have done work for such as General Motors and NAPA Auto Parts.

A medium sized laser manufacturer in Orlando, Florida hired me a few years later to build an in-house advertising and manual publishing department. I spent the next four years with them producing ads, manuals, annual reports, product illustration and design, etc.

After Laser Photonics I worked as art director and creative director for a few ad agencies in the Orlando area branching out on my own in 1998. Notable projects include The Florida's Map, which is the official map of the state of Florida, ad work for Amtrak and the design of the logo for Orlando Sanford International Airport, which I created for Product Marketing Group, Inc.

My background is diverse. I started in this business when paste-up and wax were still king. I was exposed to the very first Mac and had an Apple Lisa. We did technical line illustrations in Mac draw and pasted up the printouts. When I went to work for Laser Photonics, I purchased two Macs and PageMaker, than produced a 36 page annual report in less than 2 weeks. The world changed from there.

Take a few minutes to go through my e-portfolio on this web site. It is not a complete account of our work but it will give you a good idea of what we can do.
